The changes follow the announcement at PLASA 2010 of a merger between Dutch trussing and structural specialist Prolyte and UK-based Litestructures.
In what are described as “the first steps towards integration of the two companies”, the newly-formed Prolyte Group has announced a restructured Customer Service department, the implementation of brand management teams, and the launch of a new corporate identity.
Focusing mainly on quotations and order handling, Customer Services will be the first point of contact for customer enquiries. Supporting the CS department will be the newly-created brand management teams.
Heading up the department is customer service manager Wieze Klaver, who commented: “Our main aim is to provide our customers with the best possible service. We are convinced that his new structure with dedicated brand management teams will create an even stronger and more efficient sales operation.”
The brands in question are the existing Litestructures and Prolyte lines that have been combined into four individual product groups, which will have the capacity to develop into separate brand lines in the future. The four brand teams – handling Litestructures, Prolyte Structures, Stage DEX and Prolyft – have been selected based on their product knowledge and hands-on experience. A brand engineer will support each brand manager in order to ensure fast and efficient product support.
Technical director Marc Hendriks commented: “We have devoted many, many hours of work in order to give this internal reorganisation ‘hands and feet’. A dedicated product group specialist can answer questions much more quickly and efficiently, and divide the workload better. We are particularly pleased to announce the appointment of a Prolyft specialist, which is something that we are sure will elevate the brand. Michiel van der Zijde is well-known by many of our customers and has decades of knowledge in the field of entertainment. We are sure that he will make a big contribution to the team.”
