proAV is supporting Enfields to India, a challenge that will take four intrepid adventurers from Chertsey to Chennai on classic motorbikes to raise money for proAV’s adopted charity, White Lodge Centre.
The 10,000 mile adventure will begin in Chertsey in April 2011 and will take the riders across the channel, through Eastern Europe, to Asia via Istanbul, through Iran and Pakistan and down to Chennai, home of the Royal Enfield factory in southern India.
“We’re riding in aid of the White Lodge Centre,” said Mark Kirby (pictured front), the leader of the expedition. “This remarkable charity has provided invaluable support to my son Conor, who has physical and developmental problems, as well as the rest of my family. The Enfields to India challenge is the least we can do to thank White Lodge for the care and support they give to so many other children and parents.”
‘The money that we raise will enable the centre’s dedicated staff to continue to provide and develop activities and opportunities for all those who attend the centre,” he continued. “Fortunately, we are a determined team and each of us has our own set of skills and experiences which will ensure we can tackle any obstacles en route to Chennai and make this a rewarding journey for us and White Lodge.”
proAV will be supporting the team as they make their way to Chennai and will be supplying technical resources as well as making a substantial donation towards the cost of the trip.
