Powersoft appoints new Venezuelan distributor

Scheduled to take place at the Saviles and Royal Armouries Halls of the Royal Armouries (pictured) in Leeds on 28-29 April, PLASA Focus will feature more than 100 stands. Exhibitors encompass the full spectrum of AV technology and include Allen & Heath, Alcons Audio, Avolites, Christie, Clay Paky, Fuzion, GE Lighting, KV2 Audio, LOUD Technologies, Martin Professional, Neutrik and Robe.

More than 1,000 visitors have registered to attend, and with 10 weeks to go the show is described as being “close to a sell-out”.

In addition to the exhibition side of the event, PLASA Focus will also include an extensive seminar programme. The full schedule is due to be issued in the next few weeks, but PLASA has announced that BS8901 for sustainable event management and business issues faced by freelancers will be among the topics under discussion. All seminar sessions are free to visitors and will be held in the Bury Theatre within the Royal Armouries Museum.

According to PLASA, the popularity of the event is a cause for celebration amid the current economic gloom. Events manager Sophie Matthew told II: “With no financial outlay to visit the show, PLASA Focus has clearly established itself as a ‘must attend event’ and one which will provide valuable free networking and business opportunities for all concerned.”
