The Italian amplifier giant has announced that Tecnimusica will serve as its new distribution partner for Portugal and Portuguese-speaking countries including Angola, Mozambique and Cape Verde.
Guiné-Bissau, Sao Tome e Principe, Açores and Madeira will also fall into the remit of Tecnimusica, which has decades of experience in the professional sound and lighting fields.
Martin Audio, Renkus-Heinz, XTA, Radial, Audix, Reference cable, Switchcraft, Manley, Rane and Ampeg are among the other esteemed brands to be represented by Tecnimusica.
Powersoft’s global sales manager, Luca Giorgi (pictured, left, with Tecnimusica manager Jorde de Oliveira), commented: “We think we found the right partner in Portugal and Palops to strengthen our brand presence through a very synergic organisation driven by the passion and enthusiasm that we like. This powerful combination will certainly facilitate a fast increase in our market penetration and we look forward to a very successful 2011 with Tecnimusica.”
Speaking to IE, Giorgi expanded on the company’s hopes for the Portuguese installation market. “Although the Portuguese economy is not doing extremely well [at this time], we believe that the characteristics of Powersoft’s products could bring a viable solution [to] the few projects that could arise,” said Giorgi, adding that Powersoft amplifiers’ low power consumption and high efficiency could prove to be a valuable asset in a wide variety of installations.
