PLASA 2012: Sennheiser opts for demo power

With the company first adopting the 'simple' approach to its tradeshow stand back in April at Prolight + Sound, Sennheiser has once again opted to make demos of its products available elsewhere.

Sennheiser arrived at PLASA this year with a view to continue it’s “Pusuit Of Natural Sound”, with a stand featuring not one of its products.

Instead, the company is showcasing a selection of its professional audio solutions in the Piccadilly and Mayfair demo rooms, which are available for demonstration on the hour every hour.

Technical staff are also on hand to discuss any questions with a wide range of Sennheiser and Neumann microphones as well as innovative products from its distributed brands.

“The simplicity of our stand brings its own impact and reflects our statement,” says Phil Massey, Sennheiser UK’s general manager. “And having the added benefit of a dedicated demo room will enable us to fully demonstrate the benefits of the products we distribute to the UK.”

Elsewhere, Sennheiser unveiled the new Digital 9000 (pictured) – a digital wireless system – at IBC. The device can transmit completely uncompressed audio, artifact-free and with ‘superb’ dynamics. Targetting theatres and high-profile live audio events, the 9000 includes the EM 9046 reciever, SKM 9000 handheld and SK 9000 bodypack transmitters.
