The announcement comes just shy of five months before this year’s PLASA Show takes place at London’s Earls Court. A “marked increase” in the number of pro-audio companies exhibiting is among the trends highlighted by PLASA, which has also revealed that it is working with InfoComm International to produce a dedicated stream of fixed install, integrated systems and AV sector-specific seminars for this year’s show.
Indeed, PLASA has announced a “major expansion” of the AV seminar programme at the 2010 event, which will take place at London’s Earls Court from 12-15 September.
Companies returning to the show after absences include Shuttlesound and Lighthouse Technologies, with the latter’s Anita Leung remarking: “We have exhibited at PLASA in the past and found it to be an interesting show with a visitor profile that closely matches our target audience. It’s a good platform for us to showcase our latest technologies and meet potential customers and we are delighted to be returning.”
Meanwhile, Nexo, Adam Hall, Roland, Sennheiser and POLARaudio are among the companies taking additional space at PLASA 2010. Andrew Richardson, general manager of Adam Hall, observed: “Last year we had a steady stream of new and existing customers to our stand from across Europe, which started from show opening to near show closing. This has enabled us to further our client base and penetrate new markets. We’re looking forward to another successful show.”
Nicola Rowland, director of events at PLASA, commented: “To be 75% sold out at this stage is fantastic news and underlines the strength of the show as an international showcase for new product launches. Our visitor pre-registration figure also reflects this and is well ahead of this point in 2009 – setting us up for an extremely busy and successful event this September.”
In other PLASA news, the association announced that more than 2,700 visitors had registered to attend prior to the 2010 edition of PLASA Focus: Leeds, which took place last week.
