Peerless-AV launches Technology Division

Widely-known in the AV industry for its work in providing mount solutions, Peerless-AV has announced it will now focus some of its efforts onto emerging solutions for digital content delivery with the formation of its new Technology Division.

Peerless-AV, a leading supplier of audio-visual mounting solutions and accessories, has announced the formation of the Peerless-AV Technology Division.

The new division will be dedicated to developing advanced digital content delivery solutions for the commercial and residential markets. New areas of product development include wireless connectivity, wireless broadcast, digital audio and touch products.

With the new division in place, the company hopes to eventually provide a comprehensive catalogue of digital content delivery tools for AV dealers, distributors, integrators and installers. Reasons behind the move include the company’s recognition that the whole world of audio & video is moving toward mobile and wireless solutions, while the mounting industry has seemingly been left behind.

“The global investment in this new division underlines the commitment of Peerless to supporting professional AV integrators and installers with an even broader suite of cutting edge solutions to streamline projects,” commented Keith Dutch, sales & marketing director at Peerless-AV UK.

Products already developed include: the HD Flow Pro Wireless Multimedia Kit (pictured driving screens), a device allowing Full HD 1080p video and passive 3D signals to be streamed up to 40m to HDTVs, projectors or other displays without cabling; and the PeerAirTM Wireless HD Multimedia System, an HDMI interface-based plug-and-play wireless content streaming system for home entertainment, corporate, education and training applications.

Peerless says the ability to deliver digital content to new areas, such as outdoor or mobile applications as well as in listed or high ceiling buildings, where long or complex cable runs, is a key benefit to this new technology. And that the products are designed to be plug-and-play, removing the requirement for additional software or setup, thereby making any installation quick and simple.

The division is equipped with its own engineering, product development, product management, field applications engineering and customer care staff.
