Panasonic UK launches Solutions Centre

The new office located at Panasonic’s UK headquarters brings together all the company’s professional AV and broadcasting technology into one space.

Last week (19 June) saw the official opening of Panasonic System Communications Company Europe‘s (PSCEU) new Solutions Centre at the company’s UK Head Office in Bracknell.

The centre, which is a step-up from the similar but less substantial Professional Displays Experience Centre formerly at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, is a purpose built facility offering visitors an experience of the many different solutions that Panasonic Systems Communications Company (PSCEU) has to offer.

The Centre features solutions for a range of verticals including logistics, transport, retail and banking and each solution is composed of a range of technologies from each PSCEU division; computer product Solutions, professional camera solutions, communication solutions and visual system solutions.

Features of the education zone include the TH-65 PBI 65in Plasma interactive display and a 103in TH-103 PF12, which is said to be one of the industries largest interactive panels.

Elsewhere, in the retail zone, Panasonic demonstrated its ability to provide interactive digital signage by using its TH50 PF50 50in Plasma screen. This was used to display interactive images captured by a Logitech webcam and Acer camera. These ran through Mediastation software to create augmented reality in the form of real pictures combined with software graphics.

The facility was officially opened by Masaki Arizono, managing director of PSCEU.

The Solutions Centre will now aim to present visitors with the opportunity to experience technologies from each division at a single location.
