Panasonic clarifies new division

Pansonic has announced more details of its newly created Panasonic System Communications Company Europe.

Following Panasonic’s recent announcement that it had created a new division called Panasonic System Communications Company Europe (PSCEU), the company has now released further details about the Visual Systems division which will encompass projectors, interactive whiteboards, presentation aids and displays.

The new PSCEU is made up of four business divisions:

Computer Product Solutions including the Toughbook range of rugged notebooks, Toughpad business tablets and electronic point of sales (EPOS) systems.

Communication Solutions including professional scanners, multifunctional printers, telephony systems and HD video conferencing systems.

Visual System Solutions including projectors, interactive whiteboards, presentation aids and displays.

Professional Camera Solutions including professional audio visual and security products as well as dedicated OEM components.

The new organisation is, according to the company, structured around customer needs. It is capable of integrating services and 3rd party products into custom solutions and Panasonic can provide project management for multi-site or multi-country rollouts. Project management can also include coordinating Panasonic partners.

The benefits for customers, says Panasonic, are numerous and include single point of responsibility; faster, less risky project rollouts; European or global pricing agreements; and complete solutions can be designed, incorporating 3rd party products, using Panasonic’s engineering expertise.

“We are excited to be bringing huge innovation to the AV industry in 2012,” said Yojiro Matsubara, Director of the new Visual Systems division (pictured). “Technologies such as multi-lamp projectors, large plasma displays and our latest outdoor LCD panels ensure we will continue to be market seekers who strive to uncover new and exciting applications for AV products and bring creativity to the industry.”
