PALME Middle East 2009 – more details emerge

OPTOCORE’s creation of the new sales manager for Spain position is said to reflect the networking technology provider’s increasing commitment to “customer-oriented” regional service and sales.

Tine Helmle, OPTOCORE’s director of sales and marketing, commented: “As we take our business very seriously, we believe that sometimes a very personal approach results in much more overwhelming success. This move will help us to expand and improve customer relationships and to optimise our local support. Besides North America and France, Spain is now the third region where we take this approach. We are delighted that Alberto has chosen to join OPTOCORE.”

In other news, OPTOCORE has announced the launch of OPTOCORE CONTROL software version 2.12 and an associated firmware upgrade. A speedier configuration process and design-intuitive user interfaces are among the cited benefits of the new update.

OPTOCORE support and product manager Thorsten Schulze told II: “One of the most important new features is the macro recorder, enabling the recording of changes regarding routing, gain and the phantom power of all audio channels. Up to eight macros can be saved in one macro file and reloaded independent of the project. Along with the new features to define colour, text, size and position options for floating meters, status and macro buttons, straightforward and easy-to-handle customised operation environments can be created, especially for live applications with very short change-over between bands or live acts. Furthermore, the complete network configuration process was streamlined and the configuration file format OCS increases the potential of editing.”
