ONELAN collects, displays disparate data

ONELAN is showcasing its range of digital signage capabilities including its IPTV Omni-Servers and the company’s Data Collection Engine.

At ISE, ONELAN is showcasing its range of digital signage capabilities including the latest software updates, IPTV Omni-Servers and the company’s Data Collection Engine (DCE).

The DCE framework enables data from previously disparate and inaccessible systems to be retrieved by using any number of the available Business Connector plug-ins. Each Business Connector enables access to a particular business system or information source, managing the entire connection process without any user involvement. Standard Templates take data from the wide variety of disparate sources and display it using the same graphical templates, for a unified presentation style company wide.

Examples of the types of applications for which DCE is a good fit include company key performance indicators (KPIs); room booking and resource availability; live currency exchange rates; customer waiting time targets for call centres; live financial, stocks and shares information; showing real time electricity and utility usage; live display of stock and inventory levels; and live display of factory production performance.

ONELAN develops network appliances for standalone and end-to-end Digital Signage network solutions. The Net-Top-Box is a mul¬timedia, multi-zoned solution capable of Touch Interactivity. With a browser based user inter¬face, the system is fully multi-lingual and capable of dis¬playing both stored media and live media e.g RSS feeds, web pages and broadcast TV or locally streamed video. Further mem¬bers of the product family cater for Enterprise network management and integration with external data sources.
