Niko launches Home Control training

The new programme will show electricians and integrators how to install and work with the recently-announced Niko Home Control concept.

The new programme will show electricians and integrators how to install and work with the recently-announced Niko Home Control concept.

Launched at ISE earlier this year and due to become available in August, Niko Home Control is described as ‘the next generation of electrical installation’. It enables householders to operate all functions in their home from one central location, at the same time as monitoring – and therefore possibly reducing – their energy consumption. Niko Home Control is also said to help create a ‘safer and more comfortable living environment’.

The training programme will be delivered at Niko UK’s centrally-located headquarters in Toddington, Bedfordshire. It only takes one day for a qualified electrician or installer to learn how to install and programme a Niko Home Control system.

Reflecting on the ISE introduction of Niko Home Control and the ensuing response, Stephen Calder – sales director for Niko (UK) – told IE Residential that the launch had been “a huge success. The product is to be made available imminently – from August – and the training equipment is now set up here in the UK, enabling the training programme to begin. This is a fantastic opportunity for installers to find out more about how energy management systems can be a part of the functionality of home control systems – and, of course, all about Niko Home Control.”

Training is available free of charge to qualifying installers and electricians, with each day beginning at 10am and finishing at 4pm (with lunch included).
