First, a quick word about the InstallAwards. We’ve had an overwhelming response to our call for entries, so I’m pleased to confirm that entries have now closed.
We had a late surge of projects being submitted last week, despite the fact that this was during Prolight + Sound in Frankfurt. One thing that particularly struck me while I was at the show was that co-operation between manufacturers seems to be more widespread than ever. This is particularly the case with networked systems, as exemplified by the Optocore/Clear-Com/DiGiCo demonstration we report on today. As one exhibitor remarked to me, it’s often easier to bring something new to market by linking up with someone else than launching a new product of your own.
