New UK company for G-LEC

TOA was asked to devise a sound reinforcement system capable of dealing with the high reverberation times; the aim was to achieve the minimum of 0.5 STI measurements in an empty acoustic space. The company ultimately specified the SR-A12 line array series to achieve the best speech intelligibility in combination with high sound pressure levels.

The system was put together using sound simulation software Ulysses, which enables TOA to deliver the optimal loudspeaker direction and rigging points to installer partner Hellwig Tonanlagen, which also produced all of the detailed documentation.

An independent voice evacuation system was also required, and for this TOA’s VX-200 was specified.

Brett Downing, sales and marketing director at TOA Corporation (UK), told II: “The TOA line arrays and associated equipment were the right tools for this job. These speakers form part of our large product range. Our product range designed specifically for the AV market will be on show at ISE, where we will be showing for the first time ever in Europe.”
