Datapath appoints Howard Ford as new chairman

Ford takes on the new role with immediate effect

Datapath has appointed Howard Ford as the company’s new chairman, with immediate effect.

With a wealth of experience in the IT, telecoms and electronics industries, Ford has chaired the boards of several privately held and public companies in the UK and France with previous executive roles at IBM Europe, chief executive Cellnet and president Equant (sold to France Telecom). He is also a private investor in technology companies and chairman of Displaydata.

The appointment completes a raft of new additions to Datapath’s team following David Griffiths’ announcement as VP global sales, Steve Leyland’s appointment to the board of directors, plus new territory heads in Eastern USA and South East Asia.

Ford said: “Datapath’s reputation in video processing and management, particularly in large corporate and command and control environments, is second to none and I’m confident Datapath’s talented team of developers, sales and support will take us to even greater heights as we begin to turn the corner on the current global situation.”

Bjorn Krylander, managing director at Datapath, added: “We are delighted to welcome Howard’s in-depth talents to our Board. The immediate future of the global economy remains in flux, but our recent new boardroom additions put us in the best possible position to ensure Datapath continues to grow as a business and increase its market share across the world.”
