The home automation and embedded system touchscreen interface specialist has a new president in the form of Morgan Strauss.

Formerly Guifx’s director of operations, Strauss will lead the company as it continues to grow and expand its presence in the home automation and embedded systems markets. He has more than 17 years’ experience of designing digital and analogue interfaces, and over the last decade has helped Guifx become recognised an innovator by a worldwide audience of over 10,000 customers in 43 countries.

Strauss has also served as CEDIA task force chair and taught numerous classes and seminars, including Interface Design for Touchscreens at CES and CEDIA Expo.

“Guifx is an amazing company — the first of its kind — and what we have achieved over the last ten years is truly inspiring. We’ve done this by providing integrators with unique differentiation from the pack, and by offering their customers easy-to-use, sleek, and stylish interfaces to navigate their home world,” said Strauss. “As we move forward, we want to build on this success and momentum to expand our presence in other markets, embedded systems in particular. As president, I look forward to guiding the company toward achieving this goal.”

Looking ahead, Strauss told IE Residential: “2011 is going to be a busy and exciting year for us at Guifx. Most notably, we will be launching a completely new product that introduces yet another Guifx innovation to the market. At the same time we will increase our focus on R&D to continuously improve upon our core products through free updates, while ensuring support for the unique requirements of the European market. In addition, we will be expanding our embedded GUI design and copyright licensing divisions.”
