Announced at ProLight & Sound, the new 12“/1.4“ full range GRAVIS 12 system and the 1x 15“ subwoofer NOMOS LS from Kling & Freitag are now being delivered. The new products extend the Kling & Freitag range of solutions designed for a broad range of professional rental applications.
Described as featuring an elegant and compact enclosure, the GRAVIS 12 includes two different monitor angles. Handling of the box – which weighs only17.8 kg – for transport and installation on stands has, according to the company, been considerably improved by the new design and the positioning of the handles. All surfaces with ground contact are protected by plastic pads against damage.
For the first time, VariPoint is used for quick and safe flying or for the installation of accessories. This in-house development is, says Kling & Freitag, remarkable for the fact that it allows a quick pin fastening as well as an M10 fastening, complying with the BGV C1 safety standard. Accessories can, it is claimed, be installed very quickly and without tools.
Acoustically, the GRAVIS 12 is said to excel in its very neutral and balanced reproduction. At the same time, the maximum sound pressure level of 137 dB highlights its enormous potential, says the company. GRAVIS 12 N and GRAVIS 12 W provide the user with a choice between two different radiation angles.
The NOMOS LS, a compact bass complement, enlarges Kling & Freitag’s range of subwoofer systems The extremely compact 1x 15“ subwoofer is said to be surprising in its dry and precise, yet at the same time powerful, reproduction, descending to 33 Hz. Weighing just 25 kgs, three VariPoints permit suspension by lifting pin or by M10 eye screws.
The company says that, together with the K&F SystemRack driving unit, the GRAVIS 12 and the NOMOS LS form an optimal set for professional rental tasks with their quick installation, and easy and safe use.
