The company is the exclusive distribution partner for the Axium product line throughout mainland Europe, the UK, Africa and the Middle East. The new arrangement was announced by BMB Electronics and New Zealand’s Audio Engineering, which manufactures the Axium multi-room AV products.

Although Axium-designed products have been sold worldwide under its own and other brand names for some years, this is the first time that Axium products have been distributed widely throughout EMEA. They will be supported across the region in terms of local sales, stock, service and support by BMB’s experienced team.

Scrupulous attention to the audio path, high-quality components and an elegant user interface are said to be among the distinguishing features of the Axium products, which also enable external automation control systems to access all of their internal functions.

In parallel with the new distribution partnership, BMB is also introducing Axium’s new OLED touchscreen. Suitable for use as a stand-alone keypad to control virtually any IR-controlled device as well as a part of the Axium system, the KPC 2.8 (pictured) is a fully programmable 2.8in colour OLED touchscreen that is capable of learning and sending IR commands.

“We have high expectations for the commercial prospects for the Axium range in the EMEA area over the next few years,” Peter Schoon of BMB Electronics told IE Residential. “Thanks to Axium’s flexible configuring and system setup interface, an installer can quickly personalise an user interface for almost any system, taking the end user’s requirements and tastes into account. Axium also offers a lot of integration opportunities with third party systems that are controlled via Ethernet, serial or infrared; it has unique features in its multiroom audio systems that perfectly fit commercial applications where it is all about timing, flexibility and understandability for the mix of users.”
