New CeBIT forum on smart home technologies

The Smart Home Forum will be held on each day of the fair (6-10 March 2012) and will address all aspects of smart home living, including energy management and likely future developments.

The Smart Home Forum will be held on each day of the fair (6-10 March 2012) and will address all aspects of smart home living, including energy management and likely future developments.

The forum’s programme partners include BITKOM (the German Association for Information Technology, Telecommunications and New Media) and the Connected Living Innovation Center.

Forum speakers are set to include: Volker Müller, chairman and CEO of Expert AG; Dr. Michael Westermeier, technical product manager at RWE Smart Home; and Professor Lothar Abicht, director of the isw Institute for Structural Policy and Economic Development.

The Forum will have space for more than 50 participants and will be held in Hall 19 as part of the CeBIT life platform. The event is aimed at resellers of smart home products and solutions, skilled tradespeople, architects, architectural engineers, systems integrators, utility providers and tech-savvy consumers. Meanwhile, the supporting Smart Home exhibition area will feature displays of smart home technologies and solutions by companies from the energy, electronics and consumer electronics industries.

CeBIT 2012 takes place from 6-12 March in Hanover, Germany.
