NEC to show VUKUNET, Leaf Engine at ISE

As well as its new HLO projectors and professional LCD and LED screens, NEC is showcasing two digital signage technologies in VUKUNET and a research project, Leaf Engine.

At ISE, NEC Display Solutions Europe will be highlighting three new ranges in the HLO projection category, the company’s latest professional LCD and LED backlit large format displays and Hiperwall ultra high-resolution videowall.

NEC says that experts from across the company will be on hand to demonstrate and discuss NEC’s innovations and solutions optimised for airport, QSR, control room, rental and staging and corporate and conference environments. Taking pride of place at the stand will be NEC’s DOOH ad-serving platform VUKUNET.

Also on display at NEC’s 400 square meter stand will be the Leaf Engine, a joint R&D project with NEC Laboratories in Heidelberg aimed at creating more intelligent digital signage solutions through the development of a distributed middleware layer that offers sensor plug-and-play functionality, facilitating the gathering of data for content targeting, interaction and audience measurement.

“The ISE show continues to grow and to bring the display industry into sharp focus across all aspects of audiovisual technology and digital signage solutions,” said Stefanie Corinth, Vice President Marketing and Business Development at NEC Display Solutions Europe. “This event provides a perfect environment for NEC to showcase its latest developments and to engage with a range of other stakeholders across the industry. Static billboards and signage is rapidly being replaced by sophisticated digital signage, which can be interactive, responsive and real-time. VUKUNET in particular delivers an end-to-end, automated platform that connects digital screens with advertising revenue and highlights how NEC is developing a range of products and solutions that ensures we lead the way in all aspects of display technology.”
