NEC adds High Light Output projectors

NEC introduce a new range to its High Light Output Projection Products. Targeted at the installation market, the new PH series consists of three-chip DLP projectors.

New ranges have been added to the High Light Output Projection products from NEC, all of them suitable for the installation market.
 The new PH series of three-chip DLP projectors is claimed to offer the “highest brightness paired with best picture quality and excellent colours”. The WUXGA (1920×1200) PH1000U is said to output 11,000 ANSI lumen. 
 It has a dual-lamp system for added redundancy, plus an Integrated Device Technology HQV high-performance 10-bit signal processing and scaling system as well as edge blending and stacking. The technology is said to produce superior video processing using pixel-based, motion-adaptive de-interlacing to remove undesirable motion artefacts.
 The PX series of DMD DLP projectors is designed to offer up to 1920×1200 resolution, contrast ration of 2,100:1 and brightness of between 7,000 and 8,000 ANSI lumen, dependent on model, plus 10-bit HQV colour processing. Inputs can include HD-SDI and HDMI.
 “Being the world’s first projectors that can use built-in OPS extension modules, combined with rich network and multi-media features, the PX Series delivers a new evolution in installation projectors for corporate users, higher education, and especially for digital signage or rental and staging environments,” said Gerd Kaiser, product manager large venue projectors, NEC Display Solutions Europe. 
 The PA series was the first projector family with DisplayPort input, and the 3LCD units deliver up to 1920×1200 resolution and brightness of between 5,000 and 6,000 ANSI lumens. There is a 2x optical zoom lens option and 2000:1 contrast ratio.
 NEC’s Eco Mode technology extends the PA-series projectors’ lamp life to about 4000 hours (2500 hours on the PX series), and the filter does not need any maintenance until the lamp has reached its end of life. Inorganic LCD panels and optical filters also reduce service cost, says the manufacturer.
