Mitsubishi, Sony among the stars of PALME Middle East

In excess of 6,500 people were expected to attend the 2011 edition of PALME Middle East, which took place at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre from 26-28 April.

In excess of 6,500 people were expected to attend the 2011 edition of PALME Middle East, which took place at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre from 26-28 April.

Visitors were drawn from 68 countries to an event commanding 200 exhibitors from across the professional AV spectrum

Alongside PALME Middle East, the Dubai gathering incorporates INSTALL Middle East, the MI-focused MUSAC, the three-day PALME conference, and the PALME Middle East Awards.

Among the many companies showcasing new or recent solutions was Sony Professional, with its latest line-up of installation projectors; Mitsubishi Electric, with its 50” DLP Multi-Touch cube and 52” LCD dual-touch screen systems; and Extron, with new products for AV system integration and a host of free-to-attend seminars, including ‘Digital that works on digital technology’, ‘Fiber optics – AV at the speed of light’, and ‘Streaming high resolution video over IP networks’.

Analog Way showcased products including the Eikos Multi Layer Mixer Scaler Seamless Switcher, while Christie debuted the new Nitro Solutions motorised moving yokes range. Meanwhile, Revolabs highlighted the HD Venue Wireless Microphone System and announced a ‘major enhancement’ to the entire line of Revolabs HD Wireless Microphone Systems – the range of the HD Wireless Microphones has been increased three0fold to a distance of 91 metres on the Executive HD Systems and to a distance of 46 metres on the HD Single/Dual Channel Systems.
