Mitsubishi has unveiled its first solid state illuminated (SSI) projector. The WXGA NW31U-EST is aimed at mobile users at corporate and higher education facilities. Its solid state laser and LED light source offers an alternative to conventional mercury lamp projectors, delivering 2500 lumens with a projected lifespan of 20,000 hrs. It also offers fast on-off times.

The 3D-ready NW31U-EST offers an enhanced colour gamut with no “rainbow effect” due to the rotating colour wheel. The ultra-short throw lens is believed to be the shortest of any SSI projector.

A built-in 10W speaker, audio standby and pass-through functions facilitates audio presentations. Other features of the NW31U-EST include dual VGA inputs, Android/iOS compatibility and a thin client capability for effortless control and versatility.

The NW31U-EST is due to ship in February 2013.

Stand: 2-A24
