Mitsubishi Electric’s Visual Information Systems division has launched the HC7000 projector. The latest addition to the Black Diamond Series range, the HC7000 is billed as “the finest 1080p HD home projector available from Mitsubishi”.

The feature set includes a brightness of 1,000 ANSI lumens, a diamond black iris, a contrast ratio of 72,000:1, and a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.

Sporting an elegant jet-black chassis, the HC7000 also incorporates a full HD lens, more than 1 million colour spectrums, and a HQV Silion Optix chip. Full anamorphic setting modes enable the vertical expansions and horizontal compressions of the projector to be adjusted easily. A powered zoom, focus and lens shift allow adjustments to be made conveniently via a remote control, while a password lock feature has been included as a theft deterrent.

Available through specialist home cinema resellers only, the HC7000 offers an operating lamp life of up to 5,000 hours and arrives with a three-year ‘return to base’ warranty.

“The HC7000 is Mitsubishi’s finest home cinema projector, offering customers reliability, quality and style,” commented UK sales manager Fraser McDonald. “With such an advanced contrast ratio and low fan operating sound, this projector creates the perfect home cinema experience.”
