Midwich signs deal with BenQ for projector range

The deal, which will give Midwich access to BenQ's BlueCore Laser technology, also sees MidwichHome, the group’s consumer division, get exclusivity on BenQ’s home cinema solutions.

UK distributor Midwich has signed a supply deal with BenQ. Initially dealing with BenQ’s range of projectors, the deal will see Midwich supplying all models in the range, including the BlueCore Laser light engine. Billed as the ‘Next Generation Light Engine’, the BenQ LX60ST and LW61ST are said to be the first short-throw education projectors in the world to incorporate BlueCore laser technology, with a contrast ratio of 80,000:1 and 20,000 hours of lamp life being just two of the benefits.

MidwichHome, the group’s consumer division, will also have exclusivity on BenQ’s home cinema solutions.
