The incorporation of Meyer Sound China follows hot on the heels of a dedicated office for the Middle East market, details of which were revealed last month.

Now, with a new office based in the Chaoyang District of Beijing, Meyer Sound has taken steps to strength its ‘local focus’ and ‘dedicated support’ for the audio community across China.

The new operation provides local customers with direct access to the US factory and an offering that includes high-performance loudspeakers, active acoustic technology, system integration tools, system design assistance, technical support and a worldwide education programme.

Personnel at Meyer Sound China include technical support specialist Therdore Huang and business communications specialist Cathy Tang. All sales in China are handled through Shanghai Broad Future Electro Technology Co., Meyer Sound’s Chinese distributor, working directly with Mike Cooper, Meyer Sound’s director of international sales.

“While we take pride in our innovative audio technology, it’s our uncompromising emphasis on technical training for customers and superior audience experience that sets us apart in the industry,” said Cooper. “Setting up Meyer Sound China is a logical extension of our support structure.”

John McMahon, Meyer Sound’s executive director, digital products, oversees the administration of the Beijing office. “Opening the new corporate office in Beijing is a significant step in Meyer Sound’s commitment to better serve the regional market and expand our business footprint in a structured manner,” he said. “We are very excited to leverage Meyer Sound’s technical expertise and resources to support the growth of the local audio industry.”
