Martin Professional has ended its longtime distributor relationship with EVDV Trade of Belgium due to the Belgian company’s recent insolvency. As a consequence, effective immediately, Martin Professional will serve its Belgian customers directly via a local sales and service network administered by Martin Professional EMEA, Martin’s headquarter-based regional sales organisation.
“It is unfortunate that a highly valuable partner like EVDV could not overcome the economic challenges,” said Martin EMEA vice president Villads Thomsen (pictured). “However, I am confident that with our new sales structure for Belgium we will be able to develop the Belgian market further and grow business together with our customers.”
Taking over sales responsibilities in the Belgian market is Martin Professional South Europe Commercial Director Martin Fournier, who will work together with the company’s sales, service and customer care departments to serve the Belgian market.
“Our goal in Belgium is to create a strong and stable network that supports our end customers in the most optimal way while expanding upon the relationships that EVDV has developed over the years,” said Fournier.
