Magenta Research strengthens French presence

Magenta Research is looking to grow its business in the French market, and has appointed Thierry Destombes as business development manager.

Signal extension, distribution and switching company Magenta Research has appointed Thierry Destombes (pictured) to the position of business development manager for France. The company says that Destombes will play a key role in implementing Magenta’s growth strategy in this important European market, focusing on building relationships with new and existing customers and channel partners.

Destombes has a strong sales background in the IT and digital signage sectors, most recently serving as the France/Belgium country manager for Minicom Advanced Systems. Prior to that, Destombes was a sales manager for Avocent.

Based in Vincennes, Paris, Destombes will help drive visibility of Magenta’s product portfolio via regular demonstration to end users and channel partners. As part of his mandate to identify new sales opportunities and secure market share throughout France, Destombes will focus on increasing Magenta’s presence with system integrators, a segment that he estimates controls more than 80% of the digital signage business in France.
