Magenta Research introducing MultiView DVI

The AV signal distribution and switching technology developer will exhibit a new addition to its MultiView family at ISE.

The AV signal distribution and switching technology developer will exhibit a new addition to its MultiView family at ISE.

The MultiView range encompasses a series of products for the distribution, extension and switching of AV signals over UTP cable. The latest product in the series, MultiView DVI, delivers 1920 x 1200 resolution single-link DVI-D video 1,200 feet (366 metres) over standard UTP cable. MultiView DVI receivers are daisy-chainable and capable of outputting DVI or RGBHV video, while serial and/or audio can also be delivered alongside video.

In addition, MultiView DVI is fully compatible with Magenta’s Mondo Matrix III scalable UTP switch, which means that all new Mondo Matrix installations, as well as those already in the field, now support both digital and analogue video signals – within the same switch – in configurations ranging from 16 x 16 to 256 x 512.

Magenta Research will also highlight its Voyager Series, an interoperable set of transmitters, receivers, distribution amplifiers and matrix switchers. The product line uses a modular building block approach to enable any end-to-end configuration for the extension and switching of uncompressed multi-format video and audio, RS-232, IR and 480 Mbps USB 2.0 signals over fibre at distances up to 30km.

Finally, ISE visitors will be able to find out more about the HD-One DX, which is designed for single-UTP HDMI video and embedded audio extension. The new product delivers full 1080p uncompressed video to distances of 100m, supports HDM 1.3, is fully HDCP compliant and functions with Cat5e/6/6e/7 cable types.
