Lloyd to replace Andrew at Saville

Saville has named Gareth Lloyd as replacement for recently-retired Group Advertising and PR manager Don Andrew.

Saville Audio Visual has confirmed the appointment of Gareth Lloyd as Group Advertising and PR Manager, following the retirement of Don Andrew (see http://www.installation-international.com/main-content/full/saville-s-don-andrew-to-retire) .

Formerly digital events production manager at Saville, Gareth brings over 30 years of technical insight from live events to the position. His experience in theatre, stage and conference work helped him to develop Saville’s range of digital event services.

“Don has done a huge job over the years and I’m looking forward to building on the firm foundations he has provided,” said Lloyd. “ I hope I can add a digital twist to the role through the insights achieved in the digital events sector.“

After more than 40 years in the AV business, 35 of those spent with Saville, Don Andrew is to continue in the role of Advertising & PR Consultant, working on a retained freelance contract.

Andrew set up the first Saville regional centre at Liverpool in 1977. He later switched from sales management to specialise in advertising and public relations, eventually setting up the company’s in-house studio resource in 2003.

“Don will be a hard act to follow, but Gareth brings a wealth of knowledge to the role, resulting from his years of hands on experience and an in-depth understanding of both the technical and creative sides of AV.,” said Saville sales and marketing director, Ed Everard. “This is combined with a flair for writing interesting and inventive copy.”

“We wish Don many years of happiness in his retirement, although we will still be working together from time to time on special projects.”
