The new operation is geared towards professional AV applications including video-conferencing, telemedicine, distance learning and telepresence. Litepanels says that its “powerful, yet energy efficient” 1×1 LED fixtures can fill meeting rooms with “accurate, dependable light with no sacrifice in space or headroom”.

High-profile venues to have been equipped with Litepanels equipment include the White House and the Press Briefing Room at the US Pentagon. Meanwhile, the company says that a networked broadcast television station has reduced its hourly lighting power bill from 53,000W to fewer than 3,000W following the installation of 64 1x1s to light four separate news sets.

“Our soft and flattering lighting enhances a subject’s healthy appearance, thereby increasing the user adoption and satisfaction rate of today’s audio/video technology,” said Litepanels co-founder Ken Fisher.
