Kinoton supports Czech film festival

At the International Film Festival for Children and Youth in Zlín, Czech Republic, two Kinoton DCP 30 LX digital cinema projectors were provided by Kinoton partner KINOSERVIS.

At the opening of the International Film Festival for Children and Youth in Zlín, Czech Republic, the young audience enjoyed a very special cinema experience: the long-awaited 3D fantasy musical “Under the Duvet” by director F.A. Brabec, the first Czech feature-length movie shot completely in 3D. It premiered in the huge 1010-seat auditorium of the Zlín Grand Cinema. The spectacular 3D event was made possible by Kinoton’s sales and service partner for the Czech Republic, KINOSERVIS, which professionally installed two DCP 30 LX Digital Cinema Projectors manufactured by Kinoton and based on projection technology provided by Barco. The projectors featured a Dolby 3D LS solution that was specially designed for large screens.

The 3D projection system stayed at the historic Grand Cinema during the entire Zlín Film Festival for additional large-size 3D screenings of “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” and the exclusive premiere of the eagerly anticipated “Kung-Fu Panda 2”.

The popular film festival in Zlín is now in its 51st year. It is one of the oldest and most renowned international events devoted to film, video, and new media for children and young adults. This year the festival featured 244 films from 43 countries.
