The announcement follows Just Lamps’ inaugural Fast Track 100 appearance in 2006, when it attained seventh place. According to the company, it has now become the first AV business to make the list in successive years.
Dave Bethell, managing director of Just Lamps, told II: “Making the Fast Track 100 for the second time is an achievement we are extremely proud of, and it’s good for the team here to see some recognition for all the hard work put in over the past five years. I have to thank our staff in all the offices across the world for their professionalism and extend my gratitude to our suppliers for their faith and support in our business model, as only by this close partnership can we get lamps distributed quickly to support their brand.”
The 89% annualised sales growth revealed by these figures indicates the rapid development of Just Lamps since it was founded in 2002. The focus throughout the ensuing five years has been on promoting replacements that perform the original manufacturers’ specifications. The company, which is based in Thatcham, Berkshire, now has offices and distribution partners around the world, with major recent developments including the announcement of a new European warehouse in Newbury and a “concerted recruitment campaign” involving all areas of the business.
“Our growth is ongoing and we have just opened offices in South Africa to service this growing market, with more offices planned around the world next year,” added Bethell. “However, we shall certainly take a pause to celebrate our success this Christmas before making a great effort to achieve top-100 status again next year.”
