AV Stumpfl is at ISE with a number of new products, including a new version of the Iseo Designer control software, which the developer describes as ‘entirely reworked’.
Key features of Iseo Designer 2 include a completely new digital signage system within the software package, as well as the integration of Apple’s iPod touch and iPhone devices. The working environment looks different as well, with the latest 3D graphics acceleration used to give the application a smoother appearance.
AV Stumpfl has taken technology from the aircraft industry and applied it to Magnum, the largest of its cinema screens. The roller shaft is made from a carbon fibre composite. The manufacturer says that the combination of light weight and exceptional rigidity, makes for accurate rotation, which in turn equates to excellent surface flatness on large screens.
Another development helps installers to get the maximum number of fixing possibilities from a single product, as it has developed one model that can be mounted on the ceiling, wall, or in a recessed box. The manufacturer notes that the recessed box can be pre-installed during building works, requiring only 95mm for the recess.
In a related development, the company has released a universal mounting bracket for wall or ceiling mounting rollup screens that could prove especially useful for hidden and difficult-to-access areas. One person can easily install a screen because the extended bracket is fixed first, with the box attached to it afterwards.
