The winners of the first ISE Hackathon will be announced tomorrow (Friday, February 7) following just over 24 hours of intensive work by 60 students working to address three real-world challenges in the fields of sustainability, innovation and cybersecurity.
The students have been working together with professionals from education and other industries, some staying overnight in the Fira to complete their work.
Work must be completed by midday tomorrow and the Hackathon will end with a series of project presentations starting at 12:00 on the Pitching Stage in Congress Square, followed by an awards ceremony at 15:00 where the winning projects and teams will be announced.
The Hackathon is supported by Cybersecurity Track Sponsor Hikvision, Sustainability Track Sponsor Philips Professional Displays and Innovation Track Sponsor EIT Culture & Creativity. It is chaired by Pablo Vega de Llergo Cornish and Xavier Marlasca Roig of ESADE University.
The Hackathon Awards Ceremony takes place tomorrow (Friday February 7) at 15:00 on the Pitching Stage in Innovation Park.
