Touchpanel integrates beamforming mics

Espinoza with the new RXT-4D touchpanel

AV solutions manufacturer Aurora previewed a number of new products at ISE 2023, including the RTX-4D touchpanel.

A 4in touchpanel intended for desktop applications, the product incorporates two beamforming microphones and takes account of the desire by some customers for a clearer-looking set-up without table mics.

“A lot of people don’t really want to see microphones on the table, but are OK with touchpanels being there,” said Chuck Espinoza, the recently appointed global education director at Aurora. “We have addressed that with a desktop touchpanel that has integrated control and two beamforming microphones that can be used [for requirements] including semi-circular hemispherical pick-up and individual pick-up. The product also includes a Dante audio out.”

Aurora also showcased several other items that were new to ISE, including the IPX-UC1 Ultra Series IP streaming solution and 4K transceiver.
