Focusing on the digital transformation of buildings and how this is being effected through the integration of IT and operational technologies, Smart Building Summit will run all day tomorrow (Tuesday, February 4) in room CC5.1.
The Summit keynote, ‘Digital Transformation and Smart Buildings’ will kick things off, looking at how the digital transformation of the built environment is accelerating, fuelled by government actions on sustainability and climate as well as newer technologies such as IoT and AI.

Later in the day, Max Verteletsky, co-founder & CEO, Spaceti, will delve further into the impact of AI, bringing together a panel of industry leaders to discuss how it is being utilised in smart buildings.
Dan Drogman, founder and CEO, Smart Spaces, will then discuss how AI is revolutionising the game for the running and monitoring of buildings in the commercial real estate sector. From data analytics to building controls, bicycle tracking to catering, this talk will explore why human problems must be at the core of AI product development.
Drogman will later be joined by Kevin Brownell, director, Nuxform; Tomás Mac Eoin, CEO, Hereworks; and Katie Whipp, global head of partnerships, re:sustain, to explore challenges across the smart building journey, highlighting best practices and actionable strategies to streamline digital integration and enhance operational success. In addition, Pete Coman, principal & founder, NV5; Jean-Christophe Krieger, president, KNX; and John Brough, director of European operations, Delta Controls, will forecast which trends they think will define the smart building industry in 2025.
The summit will end with a closing keynote from Charlotte Langthaler, global director, CBRE, presenting innovative AI use cases.
There are also multiple opportunities for networking throughout the day, including a lunch in the conference garden and post-summit drinks and canapes.
