The SDVoE Alliance, a nonprofit consortium of technology providers collaborating to standardise the adoption of Ethernet to transport AV signals in professional AV environments, has announced eight interactive demonstrations highlighting the ‘Power of 10’, showcasing the 10-gigabit capabilities of SDVoE technology.
As 10 Gbps Ethernet infrastructure becomes increasingly accessible, affordable and widely deployed, the consortium believes SDVoE (“Software Defined Video over Ethernet”) technology will continue to unlock the full potential of this standard.
The demonstrations, presented in collaboration with SDVoE Alliance members, including Broadata, DVI Gear, AVPro Edge, and others, will emphasise the capabilities of SDVoE technology in diverse applications.
Christie will showcase SDVoE systems designed for live event environments. The demonstration will highlight signal transmission with zero latency, uncompressed 4K60 video, native video wall and multiview capabilities, instantaneous switching, energy efficiency with ultra-low power consumption and interoperability across devices.
DVI Gear will present an immersive live driving race simulator featuring high-resolution graphics and ultra-low latency. Prizes will be awarded to top performers. The activation will demonstrate SDVoE’s zero latency, uncompressed video and instantaneous switching capabilities.
IDK Corporation will demonstrate advanced USB extension technology using Semtech’s new UEX chip, enabling USB 2.0 data transmission alongside high-quality video over a single link. This is designed to ensure streamlined connectivity and reduced cabling for modern conference room setups.
Aurora Multimedia’s demonstration will feature a fully interactive classroom experience, enabling simultaneous transmission and reception of 4K video and USB data between teachers and students. This setup will highlight SDVoE’s zero latency, interoperability, native multiview capabilities and instantaneous switching for uninterrupted collaboration.
Broadata will showcase an advanced endoscope and surgical display system designed for precision and reliability in medical applications. The demonstration will emphasise SDVoE’s zero latency, uncompressed video, multiview support, instantaneous switching and ultra-low power consumption to ensure optimal performance during critical procedures.
Advantech will present a live AI-powered image analysis system requiring uncompressed video transmission to maintain fidelity and accuracy. This demonstration highlights SDVoE’s no-compression feature, designed to ensure true-to-source image quality for advanced AI processing.
AVPro Edge will demonstrate its complete 10G AV-over-IP ecosystem, including network switches powered by SDVoE technology. The system will deliver high-resolution video to any display, showcasing SDVoE’s zero latency, uncompressed video, multiview capabilities, instantaneous switching, ultra-low power consumption and interoperability.
TT Group will present an integrated command and control system featuring instantaneous switching and device interoperability. The demonstration will highlight SDVoE’s ability to deliver critical, latency-free video and data for real-time monitoring and decision-making environments.
A spokesperson for SDVoE Alliance said: “With these eight dynamic demonstrations, the SDVoE Alliance and its members will showcase the capabilities of 10G Ethernet infrastructure in professional AV applications. From live events and medical imaging to AI-powered analytics and immersive learning environments, SDVoE technology leverages zero latency, uncompressed video, interoperability and energy efficiency, meanwhile, creating an accessible and affordable solution for 10G infrastructure.”
The SDVoE Alliance will be at stand 5E700 at ISE 2025 from February 4–7, 2025, at the Fira Barcelona, Gran Via.
