RISE Spotlight gets smart with buildings for its latest free-to-attend event

Next Integrated Systems Events' digital forum – Smart Buildings: The Way Forward – explores the future of smart buildings

The latest in Integrated Systems Events’ free-to-attend digital forums will explore the future of smart buildings. Taking place Tuesday March 9 at 1400 GMT, RISE Spotlight – Smart Buildings: The Way Forward, is a 2-hour event exploring the new expectations we have for our buildings, as well as the solutions that are fulfilling them.

“Occupancy analytics shifted from ‘emerging productivity technology’ to critical tech for the survival of any commercial building: and there is now a new emphasis on smart solutions for hygiene, social distancing, and hybrid work models (including extensive working from home),” explains the RISE Spotlight promotional information.

It goes on: “A Memoori report on smart building startups shows that the number of new companies founded in the smart buildings sector increased 38% in two years. Despite Covid-19 and the ensuing recession, there has been no slowdown in the number of startups receiving investment in 2020.

“With large numbers of people staying at home during the pandemic, you might think that smart building investment has suffered. In fact, the opposite is true: right now, building owners and managers are looking to smart technology to help them welcome people back in a safe, Covid-compliant manner. And startup activity in this sector is also on the rise.”

Smart Buildings: The Way Forward will bring together world-leading experts to help tackle these challenges and discuss what action is needed to ensure smart buildings become smarter and are fit for the future – tackling the following issues:

  • What kinds of smart building functionality are property developers, building owners, and tenants looking for, and what types of solutions are delivering it?
  • What are the main challenges around putting these together in an integrated solution?
  • What are the most exciting startups offering in the smart building space?

In addition, all registered attendees to Smart Buildings: The Way Forward will be sent a code for a free show floor pass at ISE 2021, set to be held live and online in Barcelona on 1-4 June.
