In what amounts to a significant enhancement of ISE’s content programme, co-owner AVIXA has revealed details of several new initiatives that will improve the awareness and accessibility of the show’s various summits.
Headlining the changes is the introduction of ISE Tracks. “There are large universal themes that cross all over our summits and content at the show, and we’ve made a special effort to make them visible via the ISE Tracks – new in 2025,” says Pam Taggart, vice president of content creation at AVIXA. “Essentially, Tracks identify topics that deal with macro themes in the industry.”

AI, audio, cybersecurity, retail and sustainability are the ISE Tracks for 2025. These topics will be touched on within the programmes of multiple summits – such as Smart Building Summit, Smart Workplace Summit and Digital Signage Summit – but will also be highlighted in standalone sessions throughout the show.
STRUCTURAL CHANGES
Taggart highlights multiple other “structural changes” to this year’s programme, including the introduction of Content Day Passes that are designed to allow attendees more flexibility to attend what they want and sample from different topics in a single day; the Congreso AVIXA programme, which will offer daily content for Spanish-speaking attendees in CC5.3; the inclusion of Hall 8.1, which includes the AVIXA TV Studio, the Esports Arena and the Robotics and Drone Arena; and new show floor features such as the Live Events Stage in Hall 6, a Connected Classroom in Hall 2, the Innovation Park for startups, and a Pitching Stage.
“It all adds up to create the largest free content programme to date with ISE,” says Taggart, who notes that AVIXA is also working with ISE to produce an “extensive showfloor tour programme, including solution-led tours focused on AV broadcast, smart workplaces, education technologies and more. “We’ll also have ‘FirstTimers’ tours to help those navigating their first ISE, and Mega Trends and Show Floor Features tours,” she adds.
AVIXA has also scheduled a busy programme of Xchange LIVE interactive sessions in Hall 3, touching on topics including cybersecurity, CTS, AI and wellness. Highlighted mixers and meet-ups include one aimed at AV marketers to discuss current challenges and future opportunities (15:00 Tuesday), and a session for all women in AV (15:00 Wednesday), followed by an expanded reception for members, councils, volunteers and leadership from 16:00-18:00.
The summit programme is once again populated with prominent speakers, including Matthew Marson, MD EMEA, Advisory of JLL at the Smart Building Summit, Pantheon Lab co-founder Tina Tse at the Digital Signage Summit, European Union Digital Education Hub squad leader Cristina Obae at the Education Technology Summit, and IFMA director of research Matt Tucker discussing AI integration at the Smart Workplace Summit.
Talking of AI, Taggart remarks: “I don’t think it will surprise anyone to see cybersecurity and sustainability right up there with AI as topics that merit special attention across ISE 2025, especially with regulatory changes in the works in Europe. In addition, we’re still navigating the AV broadcast convergence, finding best practices that bridge this new way of working, and getting those documented to share – versus all finding our own paths. Plus, I expect the showfloor will be buzzing with speculation around the implications of the current political and economic environment – and how that will play out in the AV industry.”
With so much change occurring within and beyond the industry, it’s certain that “people will want to see the opportunities and challenges and gather as much intel as they can during the key week of ISE, so AVIXA is holding several spots for Sean Wargo, VP market intelligence, and team to bring the latest data from AVIXA market research. ISE is a direction-setting event, and we are excited to see how these discussions will shape the future of the AV industry,” she adds.
