Fifteen companies are looking for new technologies and solutions partners to help solve a range of challenges. That’s the premise of the ISE Open Innovation Challenge 2025, a hybrid matchmaking event that has grown steadily in size and scope since its introduction three years ago.

It’s hosted at the show by ACCIÓ (the Catalonian Agency for Business Competitiveness) and Enterprise Europe Network.
Here are just a few of the challenges that have been set:
- 3Cat, Catalonia’s public broadcaster, is seeking an AI-driven solution to automatically convert videos from traditional television formats to vertical formats
- ESMUC music university wants to develop and automatic multitrack mixer for non-experience uses that can promote multi-track recordings made by its students
- The Belvedere Museum in Vienna is looking to create a digital companion to support visitors – more than just a guide book or a standard audio guide
Technology providers that have the potential to help solve challenges can register to participate in the event and arrange face-to-face or online meetings with the companies involved. On-site meetings will take place at the Catalonia Pavilion (Stand CS100 in Congress Square) on the first three days of ISE 2025, while online meetings will take place on 11-13 February.
