Automation puts cameras centre stage

Putting the focus on automated production: Canon’s CR-N500

Working with multiCAM Systems and Skaarhoj at ISE, Canon is showing two multi-cam set-ups, entry-level and professional, aimed at corporate live streaming. VR systems from Canon Medical are on display, for teaching in situations that are difficult to replicate online, using the EOS R5 C and Dual Fisheye lens to create immersive content.

Canon is also working with Brainstorm and Alfalite to show greenscreen and LED walls as a virtual backdrop, demonstrating how its cameras can be used for scalable virtual production.

Panasonic PTZ cameras are being demonstrated using intelligent auto-focus and auto tracking for a broad range of production tasks, especially in higher education and hybrid working. Dual Pixel CMOS Auto Focus, as seen in the CR-N500, uses deep learning and intelligent tracking, and Canon is showing (alongside Sennheiser and Shure) how its PTZ cameras work seamlessly with existing sound systems for automated meetings.

It is also demonstrating Automated Photography, in partnership with OrbitVu, for online retailers that need to take high-quality product photos in-house.
