Peter Aylett is Technical Director of multi-national high-end residential integrator, Archimedia. At ISE 2013, Peter will be sharing his vast experience, delivering four presentations in the Education Zone. Powered by ISE’s joint co-owners, CEDIA and InfoComm International, the Education Zone is the centrepiece of industry training at ISE 2013. Over 50 different training opportunities will be available during the three days of ISE, with association members benefitting from reduced pricing and all delegates being able to take advantage of on-site certification as well as learning.

This year’s theme for CEDIA in the ISE Education Zone is ‘Developing Good Business Practice’ and Peter will kick off proceedings with a full day ‘Home Cinema Design Workshop’ on Monday 28 January. “The technical design of a high performance Home Cinema is not a subjective decision,” comments Peter. “For every parameter, there is a standard that should be observed in order to offer a truly immersive entertainment experience. This course will examine those standards and give insight into the importance of designing cinemas using standards based engineering calculations rather than subjective guesswork. The morning will be classroom based, introducing the standards and the engineering skills necessary to apply them. The afternoon will be spent working in small groups applying the knowledge gained in the morning.” On Tuesday 29 January, Peter will be presenting both ‘Mobile Devices – From a Personal Scale Experience into a Home Scale Experience’ and ‘Technology and Consumer Trends’. His presentation on Wednesday 30 January looks at ‘Developing a Design Process for Your Company’. “Designing an integrated system for a client is far more than just a purely technical exercise,” says Peter. “Design process and management is key to ensure that the system not only works to the clients expectations, but also delivers a worthwhile profit to the company that installed it. This intensive seminar will look at the end-to-end process of design management and discuss both the methodology, as well as the documentation necessary in the real world.” Peter Aylett is a globally respected residential technology expert with 23 years experience in the field. Having worked for 15 years at some of the UK’s most respected technology integrators, Peter was until 2011 Director of Professional Development for CEDIA, where he was an authority on industry standards, education, certification and technology trends. Peter continues his relationship with the industry by being in demand globally as a speaker and lecturer in residential technology. In 2012, he presented white papers, courses and inspirational seminars across Europe, China, Australia, New Zealand, the USA and the Middle East. Peter is currently Chair of CEDIA’s International Technology Council Applied Content Action Team responsible for creating bleeding edge industry white papers and content, in addition to contributing towards the continued development of industry excellence education programs. Click here to see the full CEDIA ISE 2013 training programme and speaker details.
