ISE People: Paul Depperschmidt, Director, Global AV Integration Market Development, Cisco

Paul Depperschmidt is part of the Cisco Collaboration Solutions Team responsible for voice, TelePresence, digital media, UC and web-social applications. At ISE 2013, he will be presenting one of the 25 InfoComm University training sessions organised by InfoComm International in the Education Zone, which is the centrepiece of industry training at the show.

On Tuesday 29 January in the RAI’s Elicium Building, Paul Depperschmidt will discuss ‘How Networked Video will Change your Business and the AV Market’ exploring the next five years in the AV and networked video market. Attendees will learn about the applications, opportunities and requirements for success as this projected US $50Bn market matures.

The presentation will review collaboration, including TelePresence, digital signage, web-based conferencing, media storage and retrieval, as well as the glue to connect them all, Unified Communications.

A 25-year AV industry veteran having held numerous management positions with AV integrators and manufacturers, Paul served many years as Conference Subcommittee Chair for InfoComm International’s Professional Education and Training Committee (PETC). There, he implemented the ‘Super Tuesday’ programmes, facilitated and presented at its Future Trends programme, and was instrumental in expanding the program to more than 9,500 registrations in 2009. He was named Educator of the Year by InfoComm in 2007 and is currently on the InfoComm Leadership Development Committee.
