ISE Insights: Kevin Morrison, Utelogy

Company CEO discusses ISE 2026 in our exclusive interview

How many times have you attended ISE, and in what capacity?
I have personally attended ISE since the very first show in Geneva, both as a visitor and as an exhibitor. It’s remarkable to see how far the event and the industry have evolved since those early days. Over the years, ISE has become a foundational part of Utelogy’s annual calendar, not only as an exhibition but as a global meeting point for innovation, partnerships, and strategic direction.

What are you most looking forward to seeing, or experiencing at ISE?
ISE is always an invaluable opportunity for us to spend meaningful time with both our partners and our end-user community. Every year we meet new organisations evaluating our platform, and we get to have conversations that help shape where the industry is heading. I’m particularly looking forward to discussions around emerging trends, sharing our own roadmap, and exploring how the future of UC, collaboration, and workspace technology is evolving. The show creates a unique environment for open dialogue, real feedback, and learning from the market, which is something we always find energising and incredibly valuable.

Which tech trends do you think will dominate the show floor and why?
AI will undoubtedly be front and centre again this year, but with a shift from hype to real, demonstrable application. Last year we saw a lot of noise around AI without many practical examples. This year, I expect to see more concrete use cases, especially around how AI can improve operations, support, and user experience in the modern workplace. We’re also watching the growing role of IoT and sensor technologies. With companies like Logitech, Neat, Cisco, and others embedding more intelligence into their devices, the workplace is becoming smarter and more contextual. That opens the door to richer monitoring, automation, and advanced analytics across the environment.
Overall, we expect the industry to continue moving towards more intelligent, integrated, and automated ecosystems, something we’re actively building into our own platform.

How has the AV industry evolved since the last ISE, and how will it be reflected at the show?
Last year there was a great deal of buzz around AI, but very few solutions demonstrated real, practical value. In the past 12 months, we’ve seen a noticeable shift, both in the technology and its applications. Organisations are moving beyond curiosity and starting to adopt AI-driven tools that improve reliability, reduce support overhead, and enhance the overall workspace experience. ISE this year will reflect that shift. We expect to see more mature, actionable AI capabilities and a stronger focus on how these technologies integrate into broader AV, UC, and IT workflows. For us, it’s an opportunity to show tangible progress and engage in conversations about what’s possible next.

Do you have an opinion on the ongoing convergence between AV and broadcast, something ISE is reflecting in both the diversity of its exhibitors and also its events programming?
Yes, the convergence between AV and broadcast is becoming increasingly clear. Historically, broadcast operated as its own island within the larger technology ecosystem, much like AV did. But as workplaces evolve and the broadcast sector becomes more integrated into corporate environments, these technologies are now part of the broader IT and AV mix. We’re seeing strong interest from broadcast organisations that want the same level of management, monitoring, and automation that IT teams expect from their other technologies.

What role does ISE play in your business planning and decision-making for the year ahead?
ISE is a cornerstone of our yearly planning. It serves as a global platform for us to showcase new innovations, engage directly with partners and customers, and align on the industry’s direction for the year ahead. We use the show as a launch point for new product releases and to gather real-time feedback that informs our future roadmap and product strategy. It’s also an important part of our marketing and thought leadership efforts. Beyond the booth, we actively participate in speaking sessions and industry discussions that give us a broader perspective on what the market is prioritising. As a global company, ISE is uniquely valuable because it brings together a diverse international audience. It provides insight into trends across regions, which is particularly important as we continue to scale our footprint worldwide.

Are there any particular product categories or solutions you’re prioritising this year, and why?
Yes. This year we’re placing strong emphasis on a few key areas that align with where the industry is heading. First, AI continues to be a major focal point. We are highlighting both predictive capabilities and more advanced agentic intelligence that can drive real operational outcomes. We’re committed to delivering AI features that are practical, secure, and genuinely helpful for AV/IT teams. Second, we’re expanding our cloud capabilities, including deeper cloud-to-cloud integrations. Organisations increasingly expect to manage their environments without on-premises infrastructure, so providing direct API-level visibility and control into major UC and device cloud platforms is a major priority. We’re also continuing to broaden our support for IoT devices and advanced automation. As more sensors and smart technologies enter the workplace, the ability to unify monitoring, analytics, and automated actions becomes even more critical. Overall, our focus is on intelligent, cloud-first, highly extensible solutions that help customers manage increasingly complex environments with less effort.

What will you be launching or showcasing at ISE 2026, and what problem does it solve for your customers?
At ISE, we’ll be showcasing several key advancements across the Utelogy platform, all focused on improving reliability, automation, and visibility for AV/IT teams. This includes new AI-driven capabilities, expanded cloud-to-cloud integrations, deeper support for IoT devices, and enhanced automation tools. These updates are designed to solve some of the biggest challenges in the industry today: reducing manual effort, improving monitoring accuracy, and giving organisations a more unified view of their entire technology estate. Whether it’s supporting hybrid work, automating routine tests, or managing devices across mixed environments, our goal is to make operations more intelligent, efficient, and scalable.

How do you plan to make your booth experience stand out on the busy show floor?
Our goal is always to make the technology feel real and relatable, so live demonstrations will be a central part of the booth experience. Visitors will be able to see the platform in action, from monitoring and automation to AI-driven insights, using real devices and real environments. We’re also showcasing the depth and sophistication of the platform in a clear, approachable way. The combination of hands-on demos, a knowledgeable team, and a strong focus on solving real operational challenges helps us stand out in a crowded hall. Ultimately, we want attendees to walk away with a clear understanding of what Utelogy can tangibly do for their organisation today, not just where the industry is heading.

What conversations are you hoping to have with visitors to your stand?
We’re looking forward to conversations that help us understand where organisations want to go next, whether that’s expanding automation, leveraging AI, improving monitoring, or integrating additional technologies into a unified platform. Many visitors discover possibilities they hadn’t previously considered once they see the ROI and operational impact of the new capabilities we’re showcasing. We’re also eager to speak with technology partners about deeper integrations, especially as more manufacturers and software providers look to streamline management across their ecosystems. Ultimately, we want to engage with both end users and partners on how we can evolve together and build the next stage of intelligent, connected workspace management.
