Exclusive: ViewSonic responds to ISE 2026

Thomas Müller, vice president of sales and marketing West Europe, on company's 150 percent surge in qualified leads and why ISE has become a barometer for validating strategy

How many times have you attended ISE, and in what capacity?
This marked my 20th year attending ISE, as it started 2005 and 2006 was my first year visiting it.

I have recently participated primarily in my capacity as vice president of sales and marketing West Europe, representing ViewSonic as an exhibitor and engaging with partners, customers, and media.

Overall, how was ISE 2026 for you? Numbers were up again, so how was footfall for you, and what about the quality of leads?
ISE’s expanding scale and international reach have yielded a 150 percent surge in qualified leads for us this year. It has solidified its position as our premier European AV event, a vital hub for engaging global accounts and gathering direct, face-to-face feedback.

For our team, the show is an essential barometer for validating our strategic direction. While the high footfall was impressive, the quality of engagement was the true standout; we saw a significantly higher concentration of key decision-makers and system integrators. By showcasing comprehensive, scenario-based applications rather than standalone products, we were able to drive much deeper technical discussions and secure higher-quality leads.”

Did you engage with the ISE Daily, either by reading it or by contributing editorially or promotionally?
We’ve been keeping up with the publication, both in print and digital formats. Moving forward, we’d love to explore further editorial or promotional opportunities; it’s clearly an impactful channel for building visibility during the event.

Did you nominate any of your products for the Best of Show awards? If not, do you have a particular reason?
Yes, we did. ViewSonic received multiple Best of Show recognitions across four categories, spanning Digital Signage, Tech & Learning, Installation, and AV Technology.

Awarded products included our professional-grade 4K commercial display, our All-in-One LED display designed to simplify installation, our Foldable LED display for education applications, and our pe-configured LED display solution for scoreboard use. These awards reflect our continued focus on practical innovation and scenario-driven solutions.

Is there anything you’d like to see improved at ISE in 2027?

This year’s lead volume was impressive, but optimising the retrieval process could unlock more potential. Device login limits cause bottlenecks during peak hours, risking missed opportunities. We recommend a model permitting multiple team members to scan simultaneously with one booth account. Removing these barriers would help focus on valuable engagement and capture every high-potential visitor.

In terms of media and sales support, we are already familiar with many of the attending journalists, which certainly helps facilitate communication. However, for international exhibitions of this scale, it could be beneficial if the organiser coordinated more structured booth tours for overseas media and international delegations.

For example, allowing foreign media or industry groups to register in advance and then arranging guided visits to selected themed booths would create a more cohesive and comprehensive experience.
