Exclusive: Biamp responds to ISE 2026

Joe Andrulis, executive vice president, corporate development, on record foot traffic for the company at the Barcelona show

How many times have you attended ISE, and in what capacity?
I have been attending ISE continuously since 2007. First it was with AMX (now Harman) and then with Biamp since 2018. I have always represented AV manufacturers at the show.

Overall, how was ISE 2026 for you?
Overall it was a great show. There was lots of energy and it was well attended. For Biamp, the traffic was steady and at times quite heavy – and most importantly, good quality. We had great conversations at our stand with a wide breadth of prospective customers and partners from around the world.

That last point signifies one of the distinguishing aspects of ISE: it not only draws a large audience, but a truly global audience. The ability to connect with so much of our audience from everywhere in the world makes ISE an extremely important and valuable event for Biamp.

Numbers were up again, so how was footfall for you, and what about the quality of leads?
Biamp had a record number of attendees at our stand, and the leads were very high quality. We are very pleased with how the show is put on and organised, and I imagine many of the attendees feel that way as well. That’s probably a big reason the overall numbers were up again.

Did you engage with the ISE Daily, either by reading it or by contributing editorially or promotionally?
I always read the ISE Daily, but this year we did not contribute.

Did you nominate any of your products for the Best of Show awards? If not, do you have a particular reason?
Yes, we nominated our Biamp Workplace software, the industry’s most comprehensive cloud-based solution for managing AV environments throughout its complete lifecycle. Biamp is very proud to be among the winners this year. Thank you!

Is there anything you’d like to see improved at ISE in 2027?
ISE has been shepherded through some difficult times and come out stronger. In 2026, it was a wonderful event and all of us at Biamp are proud to be part of the show’s growth. It seems to be very efficiently run and there is no doubt in my mind that has helped us make the most of the show, with record foot traffic at our stand along with outstanding lead generation. We look forward to another successful event in 2027.
