ISE 2019: AVIXA to host series of Main Stage presentations

As part of its education offering at ISE 2019 at the Amsterdam RAI, AVIXA is hosting a series of presentations at the new Main Stage in Hall 8. AVIXA will host seven sessions, focusing on an array of topics, from award-winning audiovisual projects to new AV standards and workforce development.

A host of systems integrators – Amptown System Company, Kraftwerk Living Technologies and TRISON – will join AVIXA on stage, to discuss projects and share insights about how to deliver exceptional integrated experiences. In addition to the Main Stage sessions, AVIXA will host in-depth conferences, FlashTracks sessions, networking events and more at ISE 2019.

“The Main Stage sessions are an excellent opportunity for us to engage with the AV community at ISE,” said Chris Lavelle (pictured), AVIXA senior director of development, EMEA. “We’ve put together an exciting programme with some excellent speakers, and attendees will have the opportunity to learn from inspiring installations in stadium, hospitality, retail, and other markets, as well as find out more about what AVIXA has to offer.”

AVIXA’s Main Stage sessions kick off on Tuesday, 5th February at 11.30am, with ‘Delivering the AV Technology for 007 ELEMENTS’. Gavin Olivier, key account museums and exhibitions, Kraftwerk Living Technologies, and Kevin Murphy, director of sales, Kraftwerk Living Technologies, will explain how they brought the 007 franchise to life with audiovisual technology in the new cinematic James Bond-themed attraction. At 12pm, in ‘Rising to the Vertical Challenge’, Ignacio Alonso, chief marketing and sales officer and strategy, TRISON, will lift the lid on the integrator’s work across a broad range of projects from a host of sectors, including retail, transportation, hospitality, corporate and more.

On Wednesday, 6th February at 10.30am, in ‘Build Your Workforce Toolkit’, Joseph Valerio, program director, AVIXA Foundation, will look at how to tackle the industry’s hiring challenges by offering key tools and resources, as well as explain how to generate excitement for AV careers. Valerio will be joined by Scott Doyle, AV manager at Swinburne University of Technology, Deborah Jones, AV and IT sales manager and Scott Leslie, chief architect, Evidant, who will provide expertise and insights on how to find the next wave of AV talent. The following session at 11am on Wedneday, 6th February will see Christoph Wegner, Head of Sales, Amptown System Company and Branch Manager, Amptown System Company Berlin, examine the important factors to consider when installing event technology, with a closer look at key elements including acoustics and architecture in ‘Creating the Perfect Event Experience’.

In ‘Success with CTS’ on Thursday, 7th February at 10am, Alex Sanfilippo, director of engineering, Kraftwerk Living Technologies will discuss his involvement with AVIXA’s Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) program, and how he feels this has benefited the organisation’s growth and development. At 10.30am on Thursday, 7th February, Ann Brigida, senior director of standards, AVIXA, and Jonathan Tulip, principal consultant, Venav Media, will highlight the impact of working to AVIXA Standards in today’s projects in ‘Raising the Bar with Standards’.

AVIXA’s final session will take place on Friday, 8th February at 11am ‘What Lies Ahead for the Pro-AV Industry?’, with Sean Wargo, senior director of market intelligence, AVIXA, and Brad Grimes, AVIXA’s senior director of communications, will highlight the Association’s market intelligence and future business opportunities and trends for the audiovisual industry.

The Main Stage Theatre is located in a central position in Hall 8 and features a bespoke design from ISE partner Improve. These sessions – which will be a key component of the show’s ‘Learn, Discover, Be Inspired’ initiative – are free to attend and no advance booking is required.
