Irish reseller event for Maverick

TDMaverick, the UK audiovisual distributor, will host its first ever AV Academy at the Stillorgan Park Hotel, south of Dublin, on October 5. Promethean, Sony, Epson, InFocus, iiyama and BenQ will be in attendance.

UK audiovisual distributor TDMaverick, is to host its first ever AV Academy event in Ireland on Wednesday 5 October 2011 at the Stillorgan Park Hotel, to the south of Dublin. The event is supported by Promethean, the developer of interactive whiteboards for which Maverick is the sole distributor in Ireland.

The one-day AV Academy is a designed to provide resellers with an in-depth briefing on current audiovisual technologies and opportunities. Attendees will learn about new opportunities and gat hands-on experience of new products and solutions. Delegates can also discuss potential market opportunities and how to get involved in, and make the best of, vendor programmes with vendor representatives and experts from Maverick’s UK and Ireland team.

“The staging of the first AV Academy is a demonstration of our commitment to the Irish market and to our customers right across Ireland,” said Sid Stanley, head of Maverick UK and Ireland (pictured). “At Maverick we are always striving to help our partners to open up new potential opportunities with new and existing solutions that they can take to market. The AV Academy will give resellers the opportunity to see some of the very latest solutions from Promethean and other leading vendors and talk to our experts about opportunities to grow their business and the many ways in which we can help them to do that.”

Maverick has active account management and support in Ireland, and office space in Dublin which resellers can use to conduct sales meetings, host seminars and run customer demonstrations.

Other suppliers who will be presenting or exhibiting at the AV Academy in Dublin next month include Sony, who will be demonstrating their latest range of large format displays and Epson, who will be presenting the company’s updated projector family. BenQ will be there to brief customers on a new warranty service for Eire, as well as their unique SmartEco projector technology that offers up to 70% energy saving. Also present will be exclusive projector vendor InFocus and displays manufacturer, iiyama. Vision, the specialist developer of professional audio equipment and installation products, and the specialist replacement projector lamps business, Hotlamps, will also be exhibiting.

The event takes place at the Stillorgan Park Hotel which is a few miles south of Dublin city centre on Wednesday 5 October 2011.
