InstallAwards – glass speakers and a James Bond theme for MultiZone

Multizone’s project entitled La Casa Del Arte is a finalist for Best Project in the Residential category, and also for the Star Product Award thanks to Waterfall Niagara glass speakers.

Multizone’s project entitled La Casa Del Arte is a finalist for Best Project in the Residential category, and also for the Star Product Award thanks to Waterfall Niagara glass speakers.

The project, which took a year from first meeting to finished execution, was for anintuitive, easy-to-use system for audio/video, multimedia, lighting, shades, security and other automated functions. The main part of the project was the design and execution of a luxurious turnkey cinema room with a James Bond theme, but the project also took in other rooms including the living room and bedrooms. The master bedroom required a cinema system entirely hidden in the walls.

“The cinema room was already decorated before the technology went in. The aim of the technology was to make the room easy to use, and the wow factor was really important,” explained Jean-Christophe Davin, who runs integrator MultiZone with his wife Antonia. “This was the first time we had used the Pro Custom series from Waterfall. The result was amazing for us,” said Davin. There was an advantage for the integrator too: “The great thing about the new Waterfall range for cinema rooms is that it reduces our time searching for products that match each other sonically.”

Because the design of the house features marble floors and a lot of glass, the integrator proposed Waterfall Niagara glass speakers for the living room. “Once we brought the Niagaras to the house, we could not to take them back; the family fell in love with the design, material and sound.”

According to Davin, this type of project is typical of MultiZone’s work: the company carries out around half a dozen projects of this scope per year, alonsige maybe 25 smaller projects. The company is based in Montpellier in the south of France, and the bulk of its work comes from this affluent area; however, projects have also been based in Lyon in central France as well as Switzerland and Spain.
